Lost Time was recorded with bassist John Hébert and drummer Keith Hall in Chicago, and they bring my music to life so beautifully. It’s a collection of compositions written during the heart of the pandemic lockdown – during a time when both Matthew's mother and step-father passed away. “The Duo Live” to be released December 2020
A new release from pianist Matthew Fries is coming in December, 2020! The Duo Live was recorded live in concert in June 2018. It is a duo performance of Fries with Grammy-winning bassist Phil Palombi, and is a sort of tribute to the classic "duo gigs" made popular in NYC.
